Things to do in Portland for Halloween

Well,

I haven’t been updating this blog in 2 years now…thinking about how to do that, but mainly busy running PDX Pipeline. If you are looking for something to do this Halloween, check this out:

Hey, Thanks to Google Street View, We’re Going to Come Back!

So, now that google has done the work that was making this difficult–taking all the pics, labeling them, and uploading them to flickr–we can come back. For those that don’t know, Google Street View came through Portland (apparently early August) and now Google Street View Camerahas documented the city.

The main point of Streets PDX was to give as much information about Portland locations as possible (Portland Maps info, history, etc), and at some point get people involved–”put up a pic of you halloween decorations” kind of thing or the changes a house/living environment goes through over time.

Portland, like all communities, is a dynamic organism/organization made up of its inhabitants and how they interact inside the city. Hopefully, we can make many snaphsots (static shots) in time to get closer to its dynamic aspects.

 Thanks Google and those coming here. I (and some others) will start working on this again while we continue to grow the PDX PIPELINE.
